Our Story

It all began in November 2006, when Karen Dunigan of Jackson, Michigan, founded 100 Women Who Care as a brilliantly simple way to raise money for local charities. At their first meeting, 100 women raised $10,000 to buy 300 new cribs for an organization in their city. Today, there are over nine hundred chapters worldwide.

Our Hamilton-Wentworth chapter was founded in April 2013 by Dundas residents Megan Hoernke and Michaela Sagatova, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Danielle Campana ensured that 100 Women continued to support the community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these women for their exceptional leadership, especially as our collective efforts have now surpassed $325,000 in donations to support local charities!
